Position: Accounts Payable Specialist
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Experience Level: Intermediate
Role Overview
This role is responsible for supporting Accounts Payable operations while maintaining strong vendor relationships and ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant processing. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
+ Maintain positive and professional vendor relationships through timely, accurate, and complete communication.
+ Collaborate with third‑party vendors and internal teams on statement audits, researching payment discrepancies, and coordinating compliant corrections.
+ Review and resolve PO match exceptions and other invoice‑related issues.
+ Resolve exceptions for both vendors and internal business partners to full completion.
+ Respond to vendor and internal inquiries within established SLAs.
+ Identify and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
+ Provide support to accounting specialists by answering questions and assisting with issue resolution.
Required Skills
+ Accounts payable
+ Invoice processing
+ General accounting knowledge
+ Experience in the airline industry (preferred)
+ Excel (including PivotTables)
+ Power BI (preferred)
Qualifications
+ 2+ years of experience in Procure‑to‑Pay, Accounts Payable, accounting, or a related field.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; or an additional two years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
+ Working knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and internal controls.
+ Strong analytical skills with excellent judgment and attention to detail.
+ Self‑starter with the ability to prioritize, work independently, and take ownership of tasks.
+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, as well as Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook.
+ Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.

This is a Contract position based out of Seatac, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $39.00 - $40.00/hr.
