    Corporate Technical & Reporting Controller

    About the Role:

    The Corporate Technical & Reporting Controller will lead financial reporting, compliance, and technical accounting functions for a global organization. This role requires strong expertise in US GAAP, financial consolidation, and internal controls, as well as leadership skills to manage and develop a high-performing finance team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Financial Oversight & Reporting:

    + Manage month-end close and ensure timely, accurate financial statements.

    + Prepare consolidated financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.

    + Analyze trends and recommend process improvements.

    + Document technical accounting areas and implement new pronouncements.

    + Compliance & Internal Controls:

    + Maintain and enhance accounting policies.

    + Develop internal controls and ensure compliance with corporate standards.

    + Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors.

    + Strategic Financial Management:

    + Provide financial insights for decision-making and KPI tracking.

    + Lead integration of new entities and harmonize reporting.

    + Partner with FP&A for monthly results.

    + Team Leadership:

    + Supervise and mentor finance staff.

    + Define roles, implement training, and foster collaboration.

    + Process Improvement & Systems:

    + Drive ERP system upgrades and standardize reporting processes.

    + Stakeholder Engagement:

    + Prepare materials for board meetings, lender reporting, and audit committees.

    Qualifications:

    + CPA with Bachelor’s or Master’s in Finance or Accounting.

    + 15+ years of progressive financial management experience.

    + Expertise in US GAAP, consolidation, and compliance.

    + Strong ERP and advanced Excel skills.

    + Proven leadership and communication abilities.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bridgeport, CT.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $85.00/hr.
