Aramark Healthcare+ is searching for a Part-Time Clinical Dietitian to join our nutrition team at Chesapeake General Hospital in Chesapeake, VA.

**Schedule** : Approximately 16-20 Hours per Week.

**About the Hospital:** Chesapeake Regional Medical Center is a health system laser-focused on innovation, known for making medical history in the region and providing patients with truly personal care. It is the only independent, community-based hospital in Hampton Roads. They have the best heart attack survival rates in the region, with their nationally accredited Chest Pain Center. In addition, Chesapeake Regional has 330 beds and an open-heart surgical care unit, neuro-interventional suite, comprehensive cancer care and the most preferred Labor & Delivery program in the area. New technologies, state-of-the-art facilities, breakthrough clinical protocols and leading-edge electronic information systems make each patient’s care faster, safer and more effective.

Job Responsibilities

+ Assess patient's nutritional status and develop individualized nutrition plans based on their medical history, current health status, and specific needs

+ Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on proper nutrition, healthy eating habits, and lifestyle changes

+ Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement clinical protocols and best practices for nutrition care

+ Monitor patients' progress and make modifications to their nutrition plans as needed

+ Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in the field of clinical nutrition

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's or master’s degree in nutrition or a related field.

+ Registered Dietitian (RD) certification.

+ At least one year of clinical experience preferred

+ Licensed Dietitian status in Virginia or able to obtain within 6 months of hire.

+ Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.

+ Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

+ Passion for improving patient outcomes through high-quality nutrition care.

Conditions of employment may or may not include busy hospital and outpatient settings, from patient rooms/floors to kitchen/serving areas.
