Pre-K Occupational Therapist – Diagnostic Team
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Term: 2025–2026 School Year
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:45 AM – 3:30 PM
Status: Full-time, on-site only
Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join the Pre-K Diagnostic Team in Brockton, MA. This team evaluates preschool-aged children (3–5 years old) for initial special education eligibility using a play-based, collaborative approach.
The assessment process follows Dr. Toni Linder’s Transdisciplinary Play-Based Assessment (TPBA) model, which emphasizes observation and functional skills during natural play activities rather than traditional cognitive testing.
Primary Responsibilities
+ Participate in play-based evaluations as part of a multidisciplinary team
+ Conduct parent interviews (typically by phone) to gather developmental history
+ Assist with short-term intervention blocks (6–8 weeks of RTI-style support)
+ Collaborate with team members to produce a single, comprehensive evaluation report
+ Attend eligibility meetings and contribute to IEP development for qualifying students
Compensation & Benefits
+ Pay Rate: $60/hour

Qualifications
+ Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
+ Active Massachusetts OT license (or eligibility to obtain)
+ Experience with preschool-aged children (ages 3–5) preferred
+ Familiarity with or willingness to learn play-based and transdisciplinary assessment models
+ Strong observation, documentation, and collaboration skills
+ Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
+ Current CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)
