We're looking for an Accounting Manager to join LinkedIn, responsible for managing accounting operations across the NAMER region (Canada and United States) as part of our Global Accounting and Reporting team, supporting the month-end closing of financial process activities, and supporting the global month-end financial close and financial reporting processes. In this role, you will manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, including payroll accounting and other accounting and consolidated reporting areas, ensure accurate recording of transactions, reconciliations, accruals, and reporting in compliance with US GAAP, SOX, and international statutory requirements.
You will serve as a subject matter expert in NAMER accounting activities, strengthen internal controls, and partner closely with a broad group of stakeholders, including Strategic Finance, Engineering, Payroll Operations, HR, Benefits, Equity, Legal, and other Finance and Accounting stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting results. A key focus will be on driving process optimization, automation, and standardization for our Global Accounting and Reporting team, including Payroll Accounting, to improve efficiency and scalability across our growing global footprint.
Success in this position requires a strategic yet hands-on approach, strong accounting and corporate close reporting expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and geographies. You’ll help shape the future of accounting operations and reporting in a dynamic, high-growth environment—balancing operational excellence with continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
+ Execute monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities for accounting processes, including payroll accounting, ensuring timely and accurate posting of results to the general ledger.
+ Prepare, review, and maintain account reconciliations, validating completeness and ensuring the integrity of financial data.
+ Perform detailed analysis of monthly financial statement variances with global accounting teams, business, finance, payroll operations, and external vendors, identifying root causes and driving resolution.
+ Ensure proper allocation of expenses across legal entities, projects, departments, and cost centers, while monitoring accuracy of expense classification.
+ Review data and vendor agreements to determine appropriate technical accounting treatment under US GAAP and relevant accounting standards, validating documentation and addressing accounting inquiries.
+ Conduct research, prepare materials, and collaborate with business partners to influence data-based decision making.
+ Ensure audit readiness through proactive documentation, preparation of schedules, and remediation of control gaps to maintain SOX and internal compliance standards.
+ Partner on cross-functional finance initiatives, including system upgrades, ERP integrations, and process reengineering projects.
+ Lead, guide, and oversee the offshore shared services team to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting, with clear alignment on performance expectations and accountability.
Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; or relevant work experience
+ 4+ years of work experience in accounting, supporting US operations and financial reporting
Preferred Qualifications:
+ CPA or CPP preferred.
+ Strong knowledge of accounting principles, US GAAP, SOX compliance, and international statutory reporting requirements.
+ Strong collaboration skills to partner effectively with Strategic Finance, Engineering, Payroll Operations, HR, Benefits, Equity, Legal, and other Finance and Accounting stakeholders
+ Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and payroll platforms (ADP GlobalView, Workday) preferred.
+ Experience working with an offshore shared services team
+ Strong ability to communicate in writing and speaking, as well as good organizational skills
+ Detailed oriented with strong problem solving and analytical skills
+ Ability to support and lead multiple workstreams which involves cross functional teams
+ Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and work within deadlines with less supervision in a fast-paced environment
+ Ability to integrate quickly into new teams and build successful relationships across the organization through collaboration, consensus building and interpersonal effectiveness
+ Strong working knowledge of MS Office tools

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
The pay range for this role is $107,000 to $175,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
