The Clinical Research division provides infrastructure support for all aspects of clinical protocol research at MD Anderson, including protocol navigation, study activation, regulatory review, data safety monitoring, ClinicalTrials.gov reporting, and operational support for multicenter studies and NCI networks.
The Administrative Assistant position supports the Division of Clinical Research by providing administrative and secretarial assistance to ensure efficiency and productivity. This hybrid role requires onsite presence as needed to support business operations. The Administrative Assistant will play a key role in maintaining smooth operations and supporting divisional projects.
The ideal candidate will have prior administrative or secretarial experience, strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, and demonstrate exceptional attention to detail. A bachelor's degree is preferred, along with a motivated and proactive approach to managing tasks and supporting team objectives.
Minimum salary is $41,000, midpoint $51,000, and maximum $61,000
The typical work schedule is days, Monday-Friday. Location: Texas Medical Center.

Responsibilities
Administrative Support
• Process ePAFs and coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities
• Schedule meetings and candidate interviews
• Maintain the division PD warehouse
• Coordinate travel arrangements, conference registration, and reimbursements
• Process purchase requisitions and reimbursement requests
• Assist with vetting process for auditors and consultants
• Monitor and respond to requests in shared email inboxes
Special Projects
• Coordinate divisional projects such as employee lunches
• Manage processes for space allocation and asset management
• Assist in annual inventory and ensure completion of space survey
• Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
EDUCATION
Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required: Four years administrative/secretarial experience
Preferred: Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Required: Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources
