What does the job involve?
The Manager Origination will be part of Equinor’s North American Crude, Products, and Liquids (CPL) marketing and trading organisation. Primary responsibility will be to deliver on North American commodity and infrastructure markets strategy.
This position will report to Senior Manager, CPL NA Origination and be located in Houston, Texas.
What will my tasks be?
Within this position, your key tasks will be to:
+ Lead the development and structuring of new business opportunities within Refined Products and Low Carbon Fuels, including bio-feedstocks, to drive Equinor’s asset-backed trading growth.
+ Provide input to strategic direction and execution based on market knowledge.
+ Source physical commodities and arrange for supporting infrastructure positions across multiple logistics modes (storage, barge, vessels, rail and pipeline).
+ Deliver on internal strategy and manage decision processes to ensure alignment with corporate priorities and strategies.
+ Ensure compliance with corporate standards and requirements related to maturing capital value projects, counterparty due diligence and operating within Equinor’s code of conduct.
+ Manage internal, supplier and customer relationships to support business development activities.

+ Bachelor or Master’s degree required. Relevant experience may compensate for formal qualifications.
+ Minimum 10 to 15 years relevant experience in commodity origination and/or trading.
+ Demonstrated ability to structure and deliver on large, complex commodity and infrastructure deals.
+ Proven ability to initiate, structure and negotiate infrastructure and commodity agreements.
+ Experience in international product flows and market dynamics, with solid network in commodity and infrastructure markets.
+ Experience from the refinery sector with corresponding feedstock and products background would be preferred.
+ International experience and/or experience from working across cultures.
+ Experience working with matrix organizations, influencing through collaboration and stakeholder management.
