Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Service Technician IV. You will be the lead and front-line resource to other service technicians by providing technical support, training, and guidance. You will also be responsible for performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repair services on building automation and control systems.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Manages advanced controls installation, programming, troubleshooting, and repair tasks.

• Diagnoses system performance through observation, testing, and setup as required by trade/position.

• Executes service contracts, quoted projects, and demand service calls as instructed.

• Participates in technician on-call standby rotation as dictated by business unit policies and procedures.

• Completes documentation of invoicing, commissioning and check out data based on hours worked and materials or equipment used to complete the service.

• Purchases materials and issues purchase order numbers to suppliers. Uses technology/software to create and modify programming such as graphics, data bases, sequences, etc.

Skills and Requirements

• Experience with Tridium AX/N4, Distech, Siemens, and Siemens Desigo.

• 5+ years' experience as a Service Technician.

• Experience with A/C electrical circuits and low voltage D/C electrical circuits and operation.

• Previous hands on experience with one or more controls platforms (Siemens, Distech, JCI, Inet, etc.).

• Experience handling access controls and lighting controls installations and programming skills.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and device data sheets.
