Job Description

This position supports Insight Global's non-profit client, specifically their Technology Cloud & Infrastructure Engineering, You will be primarily responsible for performing the daily duties of managing the Azure environment, configuration tuning, troubleshooting and ensuring the health our all-cloud environments.

You will be responsible for:

- Working with other teams to ensure Azure cloud solutions meet all requirements

- Build and update Azure Network entities and Azure Application/server & cost management.

- Work with Solution Architect and Project management to design, develop and implement infrastructure components, server topology, capacity planning, information security and server hardening

- Performing the daily duties of Azure deployments, configuration tuning, troubleshooting, scripting, cost analysis and maintenance

- Able to troubleshoot routing and firewall issues (NSGs, UDRs, LBs, AppGW, etc)

- Knowledge of cost management tools and strategies.

- Varying degrees of responsibility for work processes, optimization methods and risk management in large and complex projects within

- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.

- Interacting with vendors and their support teams in critical cloud problem situations. Work with cross project teams to resolve technical performance issues/bottlenecks (e.g, network, storage, database, application).

- Keeping up to date with new technology and certifications via training and seminars.

- Ensuring the quality and consistency of operating systems by following a defined set of procedures (change control, security procedures, user passwords, backups, hardware configuration.)

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years in enterprise infrastructure engineering or architecture, focusing on hybrid and cloud transformations.

• Proven track record migrating on-prem (VMware/Hyper-V) workloads to Microsoft Azure, including design, planning, and cutover execution.

• 3+ years of deep, hands-on Microsoft Azure experience, covering compute, networking, storage, identity, and automation.

• 4+ years managing production Windows and Linux environments, including patching, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

• 3+ years with CI/CD (Azure DevOps) for infrastructure automation, release orchestration, and environment deployment.

• 3+ years with Terraform (on Azure) including module creation, state management, and infrastructure lifecycle automation.

• Experience with Azure Site Recovery (ASR) and PowerShell scripting to automate on-prem to Azure migrations, VM replication, and disaster recovery workflows.

• Experience building and securing Azure infrastructure using best practices for governance, RBAC, and policy compliance.

• Strong understanding of Azure networking (VNets, NSGs, UDRs, VPN/ExpressRoute, Private Link) and security (Azure AD, IAM, Okta, WAF, data protection).

• Working knowledge of container-based infrastructure in Azure (Container Apps, AKS, Docker) for modern workload hosting.

• Demonstrated ability to document Azure infrastructure, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures for security and audit.
