Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Estimator for a full-time, onsite role in Austin, TX. This position focuses primarily on commercial construction projects, with a strong preference for candidates who have design-build experience and polished presentation skills. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of estimating experience, be comfortable managing one primary project with additional smaller projects, and excel in collaborating with architects, engineers, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Perform full-scope project estimates for ground-up construction projects (not just trade-specific scopes).

Manage estimates for one main project focus, with additional smaller projects as time allows.

Apply value engineering principles, assist with finish selections, and work closely with architects and engineers throughout the project lifecycle.

Prepare and present estimates to stakeholders and executive-level clients in a professional, polished manner.

Use Excel-based tools for core estimating tasks (advanced software knowledge not required).

Collaborate with internal teams on innovative construction initiatives.

Skills and Requirements

Minimum 3 years of construction estimating experience.

Commercial construction background required

Experience with design-build projects and working as an owner’s representative with GCs.

Strong proficiency in Excel; flexibility with traditional estimating methods (pen and paper acceptable).

Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects effectively.
