- Per physician orders: schedules patients for surgery, pretests, obtains referrals, medical and cardiac clearance, pre op tests, medication list and health history as needed. Coordinates schedules for OR and office. Provides daily input to physicians regarding all aspects of OR, office and patient changes surrounding patient procedures. Must be able to multi task and handle obstacles that may impact daily while maintaining outstanding customer service skills. High school education or equivalent. Knowledge of medical terminology, and the specialty instruments. Proficiency with Microsoft office, Greenway EMR, and Meditech. Strong typing skills. Minimum 1 year clerical and reception experience: ability to understand both written and verbal detailed instructions.
