To fuel this momentum, we are looking for a driven, proactive Buyer / Purchasing Specialist to join our dynamic team.

This isn’t just a "purchasing" job; it is a supply chain strategy role. You will be the vital link between our Engineering, Estimating, and Project Management teams, ensuring we have the fuel (materials) to keep our growth engine running. Key Responsibilities1. Strategic Procurement & Vendor Partnerships

+ Source & Secure: Purchase critical materials and equipment for high-stakes projects and office operations.

+ Network Builder: Maintain elite relationships with current vendors while aggressively sourcing and onboarding new partners to diversify our supply chain.

+ Agility & Alternatives: Expertly manage secondary sourcing and identify product equivalents to beat lead-time delays and keep projects on schedule.

+ Asset Management: Oversee lease agreements and rentals for project-specific equipment and office technology.

2. Financial Precision & Reporting

+ Cost Integrity: Ensure every project material cost is accurately posted to the accounting system, maintaining the integrity of our job costing.

+ Variance Analysis: Review invoices with a "detective’s eye" for price variances against POs or quotes.

+ Market Intelligence: Maintain the SRC Material Database and standard Bill of Materials (BOM) with real-time vendor pricing to ensure our bids remain competitive.

+ Transparency: Deliver weekly reports on backorders and lead times to keep the leadership team informed.

3. Systems & Inventory Excellence

+ Digital Management: Enter Part Sale jobs and material descriptions into the Computer-Ease system with meticulous detail.

+ Cloud Knowledge: Manage vendor price lists in SharePoint for company-wide accessibility.

+ The "Re-Estimate" Partner: Collaborate with Estimators and Project Managers during the re-estimate phase to secure the best possible vendor quotes.

4. Operational Synergy

+ Warehouse Support: Serve as a high-level backup for the Inventory Specialist—assisting with shipping/receiving, material staging, and maintaining security over inventory cages.

+ Administrative Force: Manage the essential filing and documentation that keeps a fast-growing company compliant and organized.

Success Metrics (KPIs)

+ Velocity: Maintain a requisition processing time of <48 hours.

+ Precision: Zero-gap tracking between requisitions and purchase orders.

+ Reliability: Weekly communication on material availability to prevent project bottlenecks.

What We’re Looking For

+ Experience: Proven track record in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain.

+ Technical Chops: Familiarity with accounting principles, job costing, and inventory software (Computer-Ease is a major plus!).

+ Negotiation Skills: Excellent communication skills to build leverage with vendors and collaborate with internal teams.
