Panel Fabrication Technician – Build the Core of Our Innovation

Craft the Future of Building Automation

Since 1983, Setpoint Systems Corporation has been at the forefront of intelligent building controls. We are currently in a phase of rapid expansion, and our specialized Panel Shop is the heartbeat of our operation. We are looking for a motivated, detail-obsessed Panel Fabrication Technician to join our high-energy team.

This is a role for a maker—someone who takes pride in turning a complex schematic into a perfectly organized, high-performance piece of hardware. At Setpoint, we don't just "build boxes"; we create the brains of award-winning HVAC and automation systems. If you are a proactive professional who thrives on precision and wants to see your work power major commercial and industrial landmarks, this is the place for you.

The Mission: Precision, Craftsmanship, and Safety

Operating out of our Littleton facility, you will be responsible for the end-to-end assembly of custom electrical control panels that meet elite industry standards.

    Core Responsibilities

+ Blueprint Interpretation: Read and master complex electrical schematics and panel layouts to determine exact component placement.

+ Mechanical Assembly: Expertly mount PLCs, relays, terminal blocks, circuit breakers, and power supplies into enclosures.

+ Precision Wiring: Execute complex point-to-point wiring with a focus on neat routing, correct color-coding, and secure connections.

+ Light Fabrication: Utilize power tools, punches, and saws to modify enclosures and mounting plates with surgical accuracy.

+ Rigorous Testing: Conduct continuity checks and power-up testing to ensure every panel is 100% functional and compliant with the Bill of Materials (BOM) before it leaves the shop.

+ Standards & Compliance: Build every panel to UL 508A and NEC (NFPA 70) standards, ensuring the highest level of safety and reliability.

Who You Are: The Motivated Builder

+ The Perfectionist: You have a "steadfast commitment" to neatness and standardized workmanship. You believe the inside of a panel should look as good as the outside.

+ The Problem-Solver: You are proactive and resourceful, identifying potential layout issues before the first wire is cut.

+ The Team Player: You communicate inventory needs and progress clearly to the Shop Lead to keep our high-speed production line moving.

    Required Skills & Qualifications

+ Education: High School Diploma or GED required; technical certification or an Associate’s degree in Electrical Technology is highly preferred.

+ Experience: 1–3 years of documented experience building industrial electrical control panels or complex assemblies.

+ Tool Mastery: Expert use of multimeters, torque wrenches, crimpers, and wire strippers.

+ Technical Literacy: Proven ability to interpret complex electrical schematics and Bills of Materials (BOMs).

    Physical Demands & Environment

+ Grit & Agility: Ability to stand, bend, and move for extended periods and lift components weighing up to 50 pounds.

+ Dexterity: High manual dexterity is required for intricate wiring and component assembly.

+ The Shop: Work is performed in our well-lit, climate-controlled panel shop—a professional environment designed for high-quality production.

    Why Join Setpoint Systems?

+ Stability & Growth: Join a 40-year industry leader during a massive growth surge.

+ Impact: Your craftsmanship is the foundation of every system we install.

+ Culture: We reward energy, loyalty, and precision. We are a team that values your hands-on expertise and provides the tools for you to excel.

Are you ready to build something great? Apply today and bring your drive to the Setpoint Systems Panel Shop!

Industry Insight: The field of electrical and electronic equipment assembly is a vital part of the U.S. manufacturing landscape, employing over 200,000 individuals. While the broader manufacturing sector has seen shifts, the demand for specialized control panel technicians remains high as building automation and "smart" infrastructure projects continue to scale nationwide.
