    Position Summary

    Under supervision, the Reading Room Specialist oversees the daily activities of the Reading Room Coordinators.

    Job Responsibilities

    + Assists the supervisor with staffing coordination, handles escalated cases, and oversees team management.

    + Administers scheduling systems including Amion for Radiologists and Google/Visio/Outlook Calendars for the RRC team.

    + Facilitates the onboarding process for new RRCs during their probationary period, including designing and implementing training schedules.

    + Monitors exams and worklists in Medicalis to ensure adherence to detect and actively address cases that may disrupt reading processes.

    + Reviews and analyzes reports in various systems such as Medicalis and documents audit results.

    + Collaborates with leadership to manage and escalate delayed case readings for prompt resolution.

    + Maintains RRC workflows to ensure accountability while maintaining efficiency.

    + Collects and forwards quality related patient concerns to QPS.

    + Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Education

    + High School Diploma

    + Bachelor's Degree preferred

    Experience

    Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Reading Room Coordinator or in a comparable access services role.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    + Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrates ability to interact with multiple constituencies and exercise "people skills".

    + Ability to exercise standards of professionalism, including appearance, presentation, and demeanor.

    + Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills in person, via email and on the telephone.

    + Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers.

    Role will require long periods of time in a sitting position.
