Cyber Security Engineer – Email Security & EDR Protection
Overview
Graphic is seeking a highly skilled **Cyber Security Engineer** with deep expertise in **Email Security** , **Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR)** , and **advanced threat detection** . This role supports all regions in which Graphic operates and plays a critical part in strengthening our global security posture.
As a key member of the cybersecurity team, you will act as a **subject matter expert (SME)** , providing technical insights and contributing to the ongoing maturity of our global cybersecurity program. The ideal candidate brings strong technical depth, proven experience guiding technical functions or teams, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to threat mitigation.
Core Specializations
+ Email Security (secure email gateways, behavioral email threat detection platforms, enterprise email systems)
+ Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) technologies
+ Phishing campaign investigation and response
+ Email protocols and security tooling
+ Threat intelligence and SOC collaboration
+ Data Loss Prevention (DLP) concepts and implementation (advantageous)
+ SOP development and documentation
+ End user training and awareness
+ Ticket monitoring and escalation management
+ Vendor and third‑party coordination and platform oversight
Key Responsibilities
Email Security & Threat Response
+ Lead investigations into email‑based threats, including phishing, spoofing, malware delivery, and business email compromise.
+ Manage and tune secure email gateway controls, behavioral email threat detection tools, and enterprise email security configurations.
+ Oversee quarantine management, end‑user release workflows, and user‑facing training on email hygiene.
+ Conduct deep‑dive analysis of malicious email campaigns and develop mitigation strategies.
+ Drive improvements in email security posture through policy tuning, automation, and advanced behavior‑based tools.
EDR & Incident Response
+ Monitor escalated alerts from EDR and SIEM platforms to identify potential threats.
+ Investigate and respond to security incidents, documenting findings, lessons learned, and remediation steps.
+ Perform root cause analysis and recommend long‑term mitigation strategies.
+ Correlate data from multiple sources to detect anomalies and emerging threats.
+ Review endpoint coverage, compliance, and best‑practice configurations to maximize security tool effectiveness.
Operational Responsibilities
+ Monitor and manage security ticket queues, ensuring timely triage, prioritization, and resolution.
+ Act as an escalation point for complex or high‑severity email and endpoint security incidents.
+ Work directly with vendors and manage service providers to manage platform performance, resolve issues, and drive improvements.
+ Maintain dashboards, metrics, and reporting for ongoing threat visibility and operational performance.
+ Develop and track data security metrics to identify trends and actionable patterns.
Security Operations & Governance
+ Partner with cross‑functional teams to identify and remediate security and compliance risks.
+ Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure proper deployment, configuration, and monitoring of security technologies.
+ Support SOX compliance by providing evidence and documentation for internal and external audits.
+ Ensure adherence to regional, national, and international data privacy regulations.
Process Improvement & Documentation
+ Create and maintain SOPs, playbooks, and technical documentation.
+ Provide training and guidance to end users and internal teams on email security best practices.
+ Continuously improve detection, escalation, and response processes across the organization.
+ Contribute to the ongoing maturity and evolution of the cybersecurity program through innovation, standardization, and operational excellence.
Background & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
+ Professional certifications preferred: **CISSP, GIAC, CISM** , or equivalent.
+ 5+ years of experience in information security, including:
+ Security engineering
+ SME responsibilities
+ Incident response
+ Risk analysis
+ Policy development
Required Skills
+ Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
+ Deep understanding of email security technologies, protocols, and threat vectors.
+ Strong knowledge of incident response methodologies and security best practices.
+ Experience mentoring engineers or acting as a technical SME.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues to diverse audiences.
+ Ability to maintain clear, organized, and transparent documentation.
+ Comfortable working in a global, virtual team environment across multiple time zones.
+ Ability to analyze data and recommend actions that drive continuous operational improvement.
+ Strong collaboration skills, especially when working with SOC, engineering, compliance teams, and third‑party vendors.
+ Ability to contribute to the growth and maturity of a global cybersecurity program.
