The Career Navigator will support the Program Director with all operations and management of the program. This person provides a variety of classroom and participant support activities required to maintain a high level of participant retention and successful achievement of participant and programmatic goals. The program will support youth and young adults by offering career readiness training, paid work experience activities, and case management. The Career Navigator will support efforts for program start-up, implementation, and continuous improvement.
This role is hybrid, at least 3 days onsite required weekly. Note that depending on the needs of the program, the number of days could fluctuate from 3 to 5 days a week on site.
Responsibilities:
+ Coordinates entire arc of Discovery process for assigned participants.
+ Works with participants to identify internship and employment opportunities, selected through Discovery process.
+ Coordinates the transition to employment activities for assigned individuals.
+ Participates in recruiting participants for the project.
+ Maintains accurate records for customer, participant, and organizational needs.
+ Establishes and maintains an individual service file for all assigned participants. Implements an ongoing data‐collection system for each, as identified by the Program Manager. Takes notes on participant performance and problems. Records ISP / IEP data and ensures that ISP/ IEP objectives are accomplished.
+ Engages with employers participating; educates employers and staff; facilitates resolution of participant’s challenges.
+ Serves as liaison with community businesses, parents /guardians, and other external agencies.
+ Contributes to project’s strategic plan and outcomes.
+ Assists with participant behavior support. Provides coaching, counseling and feedback when necessary.
+ Assists in identifying creative solutions to encourage smooth transitions.
+ Facilitate internships and employment by providing all aspects of support.
+ Onboarding participants into internships
+ Drives personal vehicle to alternative work sites. Occasionally transports participants.
+ Other related duties.
+ + High school diploma/equivalency with commensurate experience
+ Passion for supporting youth and young adults.
+ Experience with workforce and training programs for youth or adults.
+ Proficient in Microsoft 365 suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
+ Understanding of database management such as Salesforce, the Commonwealth Workforce Development System (CWDS) or other CRM software.
+ Ability to perform administrative functions such as organizing and completing paperwork, gathering, and tracking data, and reading and understanding technical documents.
+ Experience cultivating and managing partnerships with community and advocacy organizations and/or government entities.
+ Ability to work independently and as a team member.
+ Willingness and ability to travel to various locations.
+ Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

The base pay for this position is starting at $50,000. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation that JEVS Human Services provides to recognize employees for their work.
