    Job Summary and Qualifications

     

    The Pharmacy Technician is supportive in assisting in the preparation, packaging, labeling, dispensing and tracking of medications in the drug distribution system

     

    Management of date through the facility information management system; preparation, labeling, dispensing and tracking of IV admixtures; performance of routine clerical and housekeeping duties; inventory and formulary management programs.

     

    The Pharmacy Technician must demonstrate understanding and be an active participant in the performance improvement programs for the section and facility and demonstrate the ideals of customer service of the organization and perform any/all duties within the scope of training and ability to assign.

    What qualifications you will need:

    High School Diploma or GED required

     

    Active/good standing Pharmacy Technician Certification is preferred

     

    Prior Pharmacy Tech experience is a hospital setting is preferred
