What You'll Do:

+ Provide excellent customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies within the healthcare environment.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using appropriate judgment and communication skills.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.

+ Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verifying identification and assisting authorized personnel as needed.

+ Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal protocols.

+ Assist with emergency response activities, including evacuation procedures and coordination with local law enforcement or emergency responders when required.

+ Maintain visibility and a professional presence to help to deter potential disturbances within the location.

+ Follow all Allied Universal and healthcare facility procedures regarding the handling of weapons and security-related equipment.

Minimum Requirements:

+ A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ X-ray screening experience is preferred.

+ The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

+ Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Alarm panel experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
