As a **Security Officer - Mall Patrol Specialist** in **Lakewood, WA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment for guests and staff. This role involves conducting regular patrols and being highly visible throughout the location. You will also provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. This is a driving position, requiring a valid driver's license as you support our agile, reliable, and people-first culture.

What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients and guests by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a welcoming environment.

+ Observe and report any suspicious activities, hazards, or unusual situations to the appropriate personnel.

+ Assist with access control, monitoring entrances and exits, and verifying credentials as required by site policies.

+ Support retail staff and patrons by providing information and assistance as needed.

+ Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders when required by site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

+ At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.

+ Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.

+ A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
