Description
Amazon MGM Studios is hiring a Story Editor for the Movies team. This role is the owner of script coverage and Coverage & Editorial Oversight
- Manage and mentor Story Analysts and Readers
- Onboard and train new readers on coverage standards
- Assign incoming material to staff and freelance readers
- Maintain quality control across all coverage
- Ensure timely turnaround on priority material
- Maintain coverage databases and archival systems
Qualifications
7–10+ years in story, development, editorial, or related creative roles
Deep understanding of screenplay structure and storytelling craft
Experience managing and editing coverage
Excellent written communication skills
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of creative executive experience
- 5+ years of series development experience
- 10+ years of unscripted development and current programming in network/studio and production company roles experience
- Experience working with other departments such as casting, production, research, PR, business and legal affairs
- Experience overseeing all creative aspects of development production and post production
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of the US media landscape
- Experience developing content that is award nominated, or from a broadcast network or streaming platform

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
