Job Description

We are seeking skilled finish carpenters with 2-5 years of carpentry experience to join our team. The ideal candidates will possess strong expertise in finish carpentry and have their own basic tools. Safety consciousness is essential, as is reliable transportation to work across the greater Milwaukee area. Compensation is provided for travel exceeding 30 miles to job sites. Experience with restaurants and retail stores is a plus. Candidates should be presentable, as they will occasionally work in businesses during business hours.

Responsibilities

+ Build new high-end luxury apartments.

+ Install trim on walls, doors, windows, and cabinets.

+ Hang doors and install cabinets.

Essential Skills

+ 2-5 years of carpentry experience.

+ Proficiency in finish carpentry.

+ Strong safety awareness.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and building plans.

+ Accurate measuring, cutting, and shaping of wood, metal, and other materials.

+ Skilled use of hand and power tools such as saws, hammers, drills, and nail guns.

+ Knowledge of framing techniques for floors, walls, roofs, and staircases.

+ Understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and construction standards.

+ Mathematical skills for calculating dimensions, quantities, and angles.

+ Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for on-site construction challenges.

+ Physical strength and stamina for lifting, climbing, and working in various conditions.

+ Teamwork and communication skills for collaborating with crew members and supervisors.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Rough Carpentry (residential or commercial) - 2+ years.

+ Trim Experience - 2+ years.

+ Finish Carpentry - 2+ years.

+ Hardware experience - 2+ years.

+ Experience with cabinets or hanging doors is a plus.

+ Experience with crown molding and using a miter saw is beneficial.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oconomowoc, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $35.00/hr.
