Job Title: Commercial Electrician** **Job Description
We are seeking skilled electricians to join our team for a large retail construction project in the Capital Region of New York. This role is suited for mid-level electricians or electrical helpers who are ready to contribute to significant projects across New York. You will work under the guidance of a licensed electrician within a team of 3-5 electricians.
Responsibilities
+ Install electrical systems for commercial retail construction projects.
+ Accurately read and interpret electrical blueprints, plans, and specifications.
+ Machine bend 4-inch conduit with precision and efficiency.
+ Hand bend 1-inch conduit, including offsets, saddles, and kicks.
+ Lay out and install EMT, rigid, and other conduit systems according to code and project requirements.
+ Efficiently nest conduit to maintain clean, professional installations.
+ Pull wire, install panels, fixtures, devices, and associated electrical components.
+ Ensure all work complies with NEC, local codes, and project specifications.
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area.
+ Follow all jobsite safety rules and company policies.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial electrical construction and installation.
+ Experience in installing electrical systems for projects such as warehouses, big box retail construction, healthcare, hospital, or industrial manufacturing facilities.
+ Knowledge of working safely on large commercial construction sites.
+ Experience with machine and hand bending conduit.
+ Ability to work independently on daily tasks on a commercial worksite.
+ Comfortable working at heights.
+ Willingness to travel throughout New York.
+ OSHA 10 certification or willingness to complete training.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Minimum 3–5 years of commercial construction electrical experience.
+ Proven experience machine bending 4-inch conduit.
+ Strong hand conduit bending skills up to 1-inch conduit.
+ Experience with nesting conduit in commercial installations.
+ Retail build-out or tenant fit‑out experience.
+ Familiarity with fast-paced construction schedules.
+ Experience coordinating with other trades on commercial jobsites.
+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
+ Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
+ Trade school education is preferred but not required.
+ Electrician license or equivalent experience preferred but not required.
+ Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical jobsite duties.

Work Environment
Work is conducted on commercial retail construction jobsites with large-scale projects, featuring ceiling heights over 20 feet. Candidates should be prepared for both indoor and outdoor work conditions, which may not be climate-controlled, and comfortable working in varying temperature environments. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with potential overtime during the week and occasionally on Saturdays. Overtime is project-dependent and not guaranteed.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $35.00/hr.
