    Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer

    About the Role

    We’re looking for a driven Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer with 1–4 years of experience to join our expanding team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on design work, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is eager to contribute to a wide range of building projects. You’ll work closely with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver safe, efficient, and code‑compliant systems.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Design and develop plumbing, mechanical, and fire protection systems for a variety of building types.

    + Conduct on‑site inspections and evaluations to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and safety regulations.

    + Collaborate with architects, contractors, and engineering teams to support seamless system integration.

    + Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports.

    + Perform calculations, modeling, and system simulations to ensure system reliability and efficiency.

    + Provide technical support throughout construction and commissioning phases.

    + Stay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and advancements in mechanical and fire protection engineering.

     

    Required Skills & Qualifications

     

    + 1–4 years of relevant professional experience.

    + Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineering.

    + Demonstrated experience designing plumbing and fire protection systems.

    + Proficiency in AutoCAD and MEP design tools.

    + Strong understanding of applicable codes, design standards, and engineering principles.

     

    Preferred Skills

     

    + Experience working on healthcare projects.

    + Proficiency in Revit.

    + Familiarity with electrical engineering concepts.

    + EIT or PE certification, or active progress toward licensure.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mineola, NY.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $40.00/hr.
