We are seeking a Transportation Design Civil Engineer to contribute to high-profile roadway, highway, and city infrastructure projects throughout New York City. This role involves transportation engineering tasks such as roadway geometry, highway design, grading and drainage, utility coordination, work-zone traffic control, and green infrastructure. You will leverage advanced tools including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, InRoads, and OpenRoads to deliver exceptional design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

+ Perform transportation design tasks including roadway/highway geometry, grading, drainage, utility design, and green infrastructure.

+ Develop detailed design plans, profiles, cross-sections, and technical documentation using industry-standard software.

+ Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, specifications, and contract documents.

+ Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects from concept through final design.

+ Ensure compliance with NYCDOT, NYCDDC, and applicable transportation standards.

Qualifications

+ Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.

+ Experience: Minimum 5 years working on NYCDOT and NYCDDC transportation projects.

+ Technical Skills:

+ Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation; familiarity with InRoads/OpenRoads.

+ Strong background in roadway/highway design and transportation engineering.

+ Certifications: EIT required; PE preferred.

+ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

+ Experience preparing plans for civil and highway projects.

+ In-depth knowledge of NYC transportation standards and regulations.

+ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of New York, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
