Project Architect (Hybrid)

About the Role

We’re looking for a Project Architect with strong technical, coordination, and design capabilities to support Workplace, Retail, and Media/Broadcast projects. In this role, you’ll help lead design development, produce construction documents, coordinate with consultants, and support construction administration. You’ll play a key role in ensuring projects meet client expectations, schedules, and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

+ Develop design drawings and detailed construction documents.

+ Coordinate with consultants and internal design teams to ensure cohesive project delivery.

+ Conduct site surveys, due diligence assessments, and building code reviews.

+ Translate design concepts into practical, buildable solutions.

+ Lead construction administration tasks, including RFIs, submittals, site visits, and change order reviews.

+ Communicate project updates to project managers, clients, and internal teams.

+ Prepare design and technical presentations and support marketing initiatives.

Key Qualifications

+ 4–10 years of architectural experience.

+ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.

+ Experience in Workplace, Retail, or Media/Broadcast project types.

+ Strong skills in design and construction documentation.

+ Thorough understanding of materials, construction methods, and building codes.

+ On‑site construction experience.

+ Proficiency in Revit; hand‑sketching skills are a plus.

+ Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Licensed Architect or actively pursuing licensure.

+ Experience with high‑end interiors or premium project types.

Work Environment

+ Hybrid schedule: four days in the office, Fridays work‑from‑home (with flexibility for meetings and site visits).

+ Collaborative, open‑studio environment with a casual dress code.

+ Growing firm with approachable, hands‑on leadership (expanding from 6 to 40 employees).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
