    Schedule: Full-Time | must be flexible to work Monday-Saturday, between 7am-6pm

    Job Overview

    Fast-paced medical office in South Central Los Angeles is seeking a detail‑oriented Referrals Specialist to join their team for a short-term contract opening. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys administrative workflows, coordination of care, and working closely with providers and insurance teams to ensure timely patient services.

    Responsibilities

    + Process outbound and inbound medical referrals to specialists and diagnostic facilities

    + Verify insurance information and obtain prior authorizations as needed

    + Follow up on referral status and communicate updates to patients and providers

    + Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR system

    + Assist with general MA duties as needed (vitals, rooming patients, chart prep)

    + Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient flow

    Requirements

    + 6+ months of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in an outpatient setting

    + Prior experience working with referrals and authorizations (required or strongly preferred)

    + Familiarity with EHR systems

    + Strong organizational and communication skills

    + Reliable, punctual, and patient‑focused

    + MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO WORK A 3-MONTH CONTRACT

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
