Description

We are looking for a skilled Purchasing Analyst to join our clients team on a contract basis in Pittsburg, California. In this role, you will be responsible for managing procurement activities and ensuring the efficient acquisition of materials and services. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in purchasing functions and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate procurement processes, including the creation and management of purchase orders.

• Analyze purchasing activities to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency.

• Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and adherence to quality standards.

• Maintain accurate records of purchasing transactions and ensure compliance with company policies.

• Collaborate with the purchasing department to streamline processes and meet organizational goals.

• Monitor inventory levels and forecast future material needs.

• Address and resolve any issues related to procurement or supplier performance.

• Ensure all purchasing activities align with budgetary constraints and project timelines.

• Conduct market research to identify new vendors and assess competitive pricing.

• Support the team in implementing best practices for procurement management.

Requirements • Proven experience in purchasing functions, including procurement and supplier management.

• Strong understanding of purchase order processes and systems.

• Ability to evaluate and manage purchasing materials efficiently.

• Familiarity with inventory management and forecasting techniques.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for supplier relations.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical abilities.

• Capability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

• Proficiency in relevant software tools and systems used in purchasing operations.
