Position Overview
The Accountant will play an essential role in daily and monthly accounting operations. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who excels in reconciliation, financial accuracy, and supporting the business with meaningful analysis. You will have exposure to a wide range of accounting functions—including bank and balance sheet activities, payroll support, and job costing—and will participate in special projects that help improve processes and support continued growth. Key Responsibilities
+ Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and timely
+ Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and review accounts for accuracy each month
+ Manage subcontractor payroll, including verification, setup, compliance, and weekly processing
+ Support job costing, ensuring accurate tracking, coding, and reporting of job-related expenses
+ Process and review employee expense reports following company policies
+ Handle intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and cross-entity activity
+ Assist with month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and preparing the P& L
+ Maintain prepaid schedules and recurring allocations
+ Prepare and file sales tax reports and monitor multi-jurisdiction compliance
+ Track, assess, and support franchise tax requirements and exposure
+ Work on a variety of special projects, process improvements, and ad-hoc reporting as assigned
+ Utilize QuickBooks Desktop to manage day-to-day accounting activity

Requirements
Degree in Accounting
Construction - WIP, POC or Job Costing experience
Small to mid-sized company experience
Intermediate Excel skills
