Description
We are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial strategy and operations of a well-established Financial Institution in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role demands a visionary leader who can balance strategic planning with hands-on management to ensure financial stability, regulatory compliance, and sustainable growth. As the CFO, you will work closely with the Board of Directors, senior leadership, and committees to align financial goals with the organization's mission and long-term objectives.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee all financial and accounting operations, including Financial Planning and Analysis, general ledger management, payroll coordination, accounts payable/receivable, and internal controls.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial records and reports in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Supervise accounting staff, fostering efficiency and adherence to established policies.
• Develop and present detailed financial analyses and statements to senior leadership, the Board of Directors, and committees.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, monitor performance, and recommend corrective actions to meet financial targets.
• Manage asset and liability strategies, interest rate risk, and liquidity planning in collaboration with relevant committees.
• Provide financial insights to guide loan and deposit pricing decisions while overseeing investment activities.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements, coordinating audits and examinations effectively.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks while ensuring accurate capital planning and allocation.
• Support strategic initiatives through financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning to drive organizational growth.
Requirements
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in financial management, preferably within a financial institution.
• Expertise in regulatory reporting and compliance within financial institutions.
• Strong skills in financial planning and analysis, including budgeting and forecasting.
• Proven ability to develop and execute strategic financial plans.
• Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and practices.
• Demonstrated executive leadership experience, including supervising and mentoring staff.
• Proficiency in asset liability management and interest rate risk monitoring.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex financial information effectively.
