Description We are looking for a dedicated Project Assistant to join our team in Little Rock, Arkansas. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to contribute to impactful initiatives focused on land management and environmental sustainability. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, efficiently managing multiple tasks while working independently and collaborating with remote teams.
Responsibilities:
• Respond promptly to inquiries and communications related to the program, ensuring all stakeholders receive accurate information.
• Coordinate and maintain connections with partners and community members to support program goals.
• Organize and participate in virtual meetings with collaborators, including forestry programs and other organizations.
• Support field staff by ensuring they have necessary resources, including tree orders and logistical support.
• Develop and implement action plans to achieve program objectives, including community outreach and engagement.
• Establish relationships with local organizations such as schools and churches to facilitate tree planting initiatives.
• Oversee logistics for both in-state and out-of-state partners, ensuring seamless operations.
• Collaborate with horticultural contractors to guarantee the proper allocation of trees to designated locations.
• Monitor vendor payments and liaise with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate transactions. Requirements • Proven ability to manage project timelines and deliverables effectively.
• Strong organizational skills, including scanning and document management.
• Experience in project management, preferably within environmental or land management sectors.
• Demonstrated capability to coordinate logistics for events and programs.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients and community members.
• Familiarity with event logistics and planning.
