Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join a respected law firm located in Honolulu, Hawaii. This role is essential in driving the firm's financial operations, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic insights to support business decisions. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting, preferably within detail-oriented services or law firms, and demonstrate exceptional leadership and analytical skills. Responsibilities:

• Manage all accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, month-end close, and financial reporting.

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.

• Develop and oversee budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial projections to support strategic planning.

• Ensure proper account reconciliations and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial integrity.

• Collaborate with firm leadership to provide actionable financial insights and recommendations.

• Review journal entries and audit processes to ensure precision and compliance.

• Supervise financial statement audits and address any identified issues effectively.

• Optimize financial processes and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.

• Mentor and guide entry-level accounting staff to foster career growth.

• Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to ensure the firm remains compliant.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

• Minimum of five years of hands-on or public accounting experience.

• Prior experience in a law firm or detail-oriented services environment is highly desirable.

• Strong proficiency in preparing financial statements, budgeting, and managing cash flow.

• Excellent skills in general ledger management, journal entries, and account reconciliations.

• Ability to communicate effectively with firm leadership and provide strategic recommendations.

• Familiarity with financial audits and compliance requirements.

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
