Position Overview
Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a **Mammography Technologist** to join our **Pflugerville Clinic (MOB)** Imaging team. This **weekday-only clinic position** offers a consistent **Monday–Friday, 8–5 schedule** with no nights or weekends, making it ideal for technologists seeking work-life balance in an outpatient setting.
As a **Mammography Technologist** , you will perform high-quality breast imaging exams while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in accordance with MQSA, ACR, and Baylor Scott & White standards.
What You’ll Do
+ Perform **screening and diagnostic mammography procedures** according to established protocols.
+ Ensure proper patient positioning, compression, exposure, and image quality for accurate interpretation.
+ Use **AIDET communication** to explain procedures, reduce patient anxiety, and provide a positive experience.
+ Prepare patients and equipment for exams while maintaining patient dignity and comfort.
+ Follow all **radiation safety, infection control, and sterile technique** guidelines.
+ Maintain mammography equipment and work areas to meet quality and cleanliness standards.
+ Collaborate with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal equipment performance.
+ Verify requisitions, patient history, pregnancy status, shielding, and consent documentation.
+ Accurately document exams and maintain imaging records in **PACS and EMR systems** .
+ Support clinic workflow by minimizing wait times and maintaining professional service standards.
+ Serve as a **preceptor or trainer** for new team members as needed.
+ Participate in **call coverage** , if required.

QUALIFICATIONS
- EDUCATION - Grad of an Accredited Program
- EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
- CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -
ARRT-M Mammography (ARRT-M)
ARRT-R Radiography (ARRT-R)
Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
Medical Radiologic Tech (MRT): Licensed by the State of Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT).
