Job Title: Mortgage Customer Service Representative
Job Description
We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team as Mortgage Customer Service Representatives. As a key player in our call center, you will assist with insurance servicing questions, providing excellent customer service to borrowers, insurance agents, and financial institutions. This role offers competitive pay with opportunities for advancement.
Responsibilities
+ Handle approximately 35-45 inbound calls per day, with each call lasting an average of 11-14 minutes.
+ Address inquiries related to homeowners insurance from borrowers, insurance agents, and financial institutions.
+ Manage questions about payments and coverage, ensuring quick and accurate responses to meet internal and external standards.
+ Utilize multiple systems to research and document phone calls efficiently.
+ Demonstrate problem-solving skills to resolve issues professionally.
Essential Skills
+ At least 1 year of recent customer service experience, preferably in a call center or front desk/admin role.
+ Proficiency in using a Windows PC and navigating software systems.
+ Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills for phone and email correspondence.
+ Reliable internet connection for remote training and work.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 2+ years of call center experience.
+ Basic computer literacy (passing score of 70%).

Work Environment
Our work environment is a dynamic call center with a cube-style setup, dual monitors, and wired headsets. The facility is clean and organized, though it can get lively during peak call times. Employees are encouraged to dress casually in jeans and shirts, avoiding graphic T's or ripped jeans. We provide a supportive environment with live hotline assistance and a clear reporting structure. Breaks and lunch are included in your 8-hour workday.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Troy, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.50/hr.
