Job Summary:
The Norman Lab, housed in the Department of Biomedical Informatics at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, is seeking a **Visiting Researcher** with deep expertise in genome graph construction and interpretation, complex genomic architecture of the human MHC, and de novo DNA sequence assembly.
Visiting Researcher position is a full-time, two-year appointment with the possibility of extension depending on funding and program needs.

Minimum Qualifications:
+ Master's Degree in Physics or other relevant subject
+ Expertise in the complex genomic architecture of the human MHC
+ Expertise in genome graph construction and interpretation.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience in De-novo assembly methods for DNA sequence data
+ Expertise in Python and C++ programming and Linux scripting.
+ Post graduate continuing education in bioinformatics.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
+ Reliable, punctual, and motivated in his or her work.
+ Attention to details, diligence in data recording/documentation, strict adherence to established assay protocols and laboratory policies/procedures, strong organizational skills

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $55,000-60,000 The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
