In the ODSP Experiences Collab team, you will shape the next generation of productivity by combining world‑class UX with cutting‑edge AI.     As a Software Engineer in the ODSP Experiences Collab team, you will design and build modern, intelligent, and collaborative features across OneDrive and SharePoint. You will bring new AI‑powered capabilities to life—from content understanding and intelligent assistance to streamlined collaboration experiences across web, desktop, and mobile surfaces. You will work across service, platform, and UX layers to deliver reliable, performant, and user‑delighting experiences at global scale.

    + Develop expertise in AI‑driven product development, large‑scale distributed systems, and collaborative UX patterns.

    + Build broad product acumen by partnering with design, PM, and research teams across OneDrive, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365.

    Responsibilities

    + Design, implement, and deliver high‑quality user experiences that power collaboration across OneDrive and SharePoint.

    + Develop intelligent features that use artificial intelligence to help users create, understand, and organize their content more effectively.

    + Build reliable, performant, and secure components across client and service layers to support large‑scale file collaboration scenarios.

    + Work closely with design, product management, and research partners to translate customer needs into intuitive and impactful product experiences.

    + Contribute to the technical architecture, code quality, and long‑term engineering health of the OneDrive and SharePoint product surfaces.

    + Investigate and resolve complex issues in production environments to ensure a trustworthy and resilient user experience for global customers.

    + Participate in planning, design reviews, and team‑wide discussions to drive clarity, improve processes, and foster a culture of inclusion and learning.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

    + OR equivalent experience.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

    + OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

    + OR equivalent experience.

     

    Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
