**AECOM's** Digital Delivery team is seeking a well-rounded **GIS Specialist II** to join our Oakland, CA office within our Environmental Permitting and Planning department. This will be a hybrid position, and candidates should be within commuting distance to Oakland, CA.

You should enjoy solving problems with GIS software applications and other creative technical solutions and thrive in a fast-paced and challenging workplace that will impact public infrastructure and the environment.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Extensive use of ArcGIS Pro for data analysis and cartographic production. Use of ArcGIS Online for mobile field data collection, web maps, authoritative datasets, and integration with ArcGIS Pro.
+ Manage tasks and time accordingly for multiple simultaneous projects with competing deadlines using task tracking system.
+ Work independently and collaboratively with a team of GIS professionals and adhere to AECOM’s GIS standards: folder structure and data standards.
+ Troubleshoot and devise new approaches with minimal guidance.
+ Cross-discipline coordination: Work closely with project teams and clients to understand project needs and deliver GIS solutions of moderate to significant scope and complexity.
+ Some project tasks include biological permitting to support infrastructure and utility projects, species habitat modeling, impact analyses and associated calculations.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or related field.
+ 2 years of relevant experience or equivalency of experience and/or education demonstrating proficiency in ArcGIS Pro.
+ Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required.
Strongly Preferred Qualifications:
+ 4+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
+ Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online and/or Portal, and mobile field data collection.
+ Technical knowledge of geographic concepts, including coordinate systems, data collection methods, spatial data management, analysis, data visualization, cartographic design, and figure production.
+ A team player with demonstrated GIS competence who is looking to grow their technical skills.
+ Ability to independently manage time on various tasks simultaneously and communicate with task leads.
+ Within commuting distance to Oakland, CA.
Bonus Qualifications:
+ Familiarity with any of the following (ArcGIS Pro):
+ Cartography: Streamlined cartographic production, advanced labeling, map series
+ Simple Arcade, SQL and/or Python expressions
+ Data conversion: experience with drafting data (CAD) and Google Earth (KMZ)
+ Familiarity with any of the following (ArcGIS Online/Portal):
+ Setup and support using the FieldMaps and/or Survey 123 apps for field surveys
+ Web applications: Dashboards and Experience Builder, etc.
+ Complex Smart Forms configuration
+ Scripting/programming highly regarded and/or integration of Jupyter Notebooks with ArcGIS Pro
+ Literacy in responsibly using AI tools to support workflows
+ Experience processing and analyzing lidar and raster data.
+ Familiarity downloading and processing authoritative datasets from public data sources (vector and raster)
+ Familiarity with Microsoft Suite, Excel expertise valued
Additional Information
Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $75000 to $90000.
