Duties include management of the department’s accounting and fiscal systems and activities. The Accountant is responsible for revenue collection and distribution; providing professional support for agency operations in compliance with regulations and accounting standards; establishing, evaluating, and maintaining accounting systems to ensure the accurate and efficient processing of department business transactions and financial reporting activities; and preparing, monitoring, and analyzing the department approved budgets to ensure agency fiscal requirements are met and comply with executive and legislative intent and applicable statutes and regulations.
