Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.
+ Basic math, editing and time management skills.
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office, professional office etiquette, communication skills, ability to prepare clear, concise, and grammatically correct correspondence, ability to establish and maintain effective records and files.
+ Knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and purchasing practices.
+ Understand, interpret, and apply university policies & procedures in matters pertaining to typical office activities.
+ Perform tasks requiring email, calendaring, spreadsheets, complex documents, electronic/online reports, etc.
+ Find, retrieve assimilate, present information.
+ Perform multiple tasks simultaneously. Delegate tasks properly and effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Responsible for providing professional supervision and support to a grant.
+ Prepare grant reports including but not limited to salary/fringe, quarterly, cost share and F&A allocation reports
+ Assist with grant budget transfers
+ Placing orders for equipment, supplies, and services within the grant scope of work
+ Assisting with Travel
Job Description
The Grant Assistant is responsible for performing varied accounting and clerical work in support of assigned grant.
Job Duties
+ This position will work on the grant project and assist in the business office as needed.
+ Responsible for providing professional supervision and support to a grant
+ Prepare grant reports including but not limited to salary/fringe, quarterly, cost share and F&A allocation reports
+ Prepare stipend and scholarship awards for students under grant or special accounts
+ Placing orders for equipment, supplies, and services within the grant scope of work
+ Validate invoices to purchase orders and goods receipts
+ Assist with planning large projects
+ Assist employees with travel
+ Reconciling account
