CNC Programmer

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

+ Primary function is to produce a cad model from data obtained from the reverse engineering of the part.

+ From the model generate a CNC program for machining the part in the CNC.

+ Machine setup and operate CNC machining centers or setup and operate CNC lathes.

+ Secondary functions including but not limited to operating manual lathes, VTL’’s and mills.

+ Additional functions is to set-up and operate CNC milling centers

+ Provide feedback to CNC programmer for optimization of machining process.

+ Complete all documentation pertaining to the work assignment.

+ Train new hires or engineers associated with the project being worked on.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

+ Must have CNC operating and setup experience

+ Broad understanding of preparatory and misc. functions (G&M codes).

+ Be able to interpret manufacturing drawings with GD&T tolerancing.

+ Experience CNC Programming

+ Must have experience working with rotating equipment.

+ Must be able to use precision measuring instruments.
