    United Methodist Communities is currently seeking a Cook for our Pitman Community.

     

    Senior Living in Gloucester County at our UMC senior community in Pitman, New Jersey, is truly integrated into the life of the town. We are part of a beautiful residential neighborhood, near to highways and public transportation with easy access to both Philadelphia as well as the Jersey Shore.

    Requirements for a Cook:

    + High School Diploma or equivalent.

    + Two years of cooking and meal preparation.

    + 3-4 years of related work experience. No supervisory experience required.

    Responsibilities for a Cook:

    + Ensures quality meal preparation including the following: consistency, presentation, flavor, and temperature.

    + Ensures safe food preparation including receiving, storage, cooking, service, holding, cleaning and sanitation of tools and work space.

    + Fiscal stewardship of resident spends by following recipes, preparing food quantities as instructed, batch cooking and using proper cooking methods and techniques.

    + Integral part of the production team supporting all dining programs (catering, events, retail, etc.).
