Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISOR in the ADMINISTRATIVE/PERSONNEL OFFICE of RECRUIT TRAINING COMMAND (RTC). The administrative/personnel office is responsible for all administrative and personnel processes to include official correspondence, performance evaluations, awards, directives, records management, pay and personnel processes, and service record maintenance. Responsibilities You will develop policies, provide guidance, and quality assurance on all administrative processes. You will provide technical and administrative support in all areas of personnel, pay, records, educational services, separations, etc. You will manage, monitor and coordinate assigned short-fused projects on a variety of topics. You will exercise administrative and technical supervision over all subordinates. You will oversee, coordinate, and ensure the accuracy of all correspondence originating from RTC, and train subordinates on correspondence preparation. You will oversee a full range of pay and personnel functions for over 1,100 military personnel, providing technical and administrative support in all areas of personnel, pay, records, educational services, separations, transfers, gains, etc. You will serve as a link between individual Sailors and the command, and the applicable Transaction Support Center (TSC) and Regional Support Center (RSC) for all pay and personnel transactions and key supporting documents. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing Microsoft programs to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint; 2) Assisting with supervisory direction to include planning and assigning work, and training employees; 3) Communicating effectively orally and in writing to share information, correspondence, and report summarizing issues; 4) Creating and maintaining a variety of tracking systems; 5) Applying knowledge of Navy administration and personnel functions, and Federal Government Civilian HR management. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Successfully completed two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree. The major study of such education is in public administration, business administration, industrial engineering, industrial management, or other administrative or management fields related to the position to be filled. OR A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
