SUMMARY
The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Solutions Developer is responsible for designing, implementing, validating, and supporting AI solutions that enhance the safety, reliability, and efficiency of nuclear operations and business processes. This role bridges business needs and technical implementation, ensuring all AI applications are explainable, auditable, secure, and compliant with nuclear regulatory and quality requirements. The position works closely with engineering, operations, maintenance, IT, cybersecurity, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs to deploy AI solutions that support decision-making while maintaining appropriate human oversight.

EDUCATION
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI or related field (Preferred)
• Without the above degree, 5 additional years in Computer Science, Data Science, AI or related field may be considered.
EXPERIENCE
• No experience is required.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS
• Certifications in AI or Cloud Architecture (Azure AI Engineer, Data Engineer, etc.) (Preferred)
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Define and implement the organization’s AI and data strategy aligned with business goals and governance standards.
• Design and develop scalable data pipelines, architectures, and frameworks to support LLM training and deployment.
• Leverage Microsoft CoPilot Studio and generative AI tools to build and integrate custom AI copilots and conversational agents.
• Develop, fine-tune, and evaluate LLM-based chatbots and domain-specific AI assistants for enterprise functions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders) to identify use cases and deliver AI-driven value.
• Establish data management, lifecycle governance, and model security best practices.

SPECIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with Large Language Models (LLM) such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Hugging Face, Anthropic, etc.
• Expertise with Microsoft CoPilot Studio, Power Platform, or similar generative AI ecosystems.
• Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and knowledge of data engineering frameworks.
• Proficiency in cloud AI platforms (Azure AI, AWS Sagemaker, or GCP Vertex AI).
• Understanding prompt optimization, retrieval-augmented generation, and model deployment pipelines.
• Proven experience in designing production-grade chatbots and AI agents.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
• Accept ERO position as needed.
• Accept outage position as needed.
• Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access if needed.
• Successfully complete General Employee Training (GET) as required for position.
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Overtime and alternate work schedules as needed.
• Subject to callouts twenty-four hours per day seven days per week.
• Travel may be required.
• May be required to carry a phone.
WORK LOCATION
• Due to the nature of the work, this position provides the ability for a hybrid work schedule between Site and an alternate work location. Alternate work locations require adequate technology and a solid ergonomic setup is present. Note: Work schedules are contingent on business need.
