    About the Role:

    Step into a pivotal leadership role as a Senior Electrical Engineer, where you will drive the design and execution of complex electrical and control systems for diverse industrial environments. In this position, you will transition seamlessly between high-level project management and detailed technical analysis, providing expert guidance to design teams while maintaining full autonomy over the engineering lifecycle. You’ll serve as a key technical liaison, collaborating with clients and regulatory officials to translate intricate requirements into robust, code-compliant power solutions.

    Here’s a glimpse into your day to day:

    + Individuals in this position are responsible for planning, organizing, and performing detailed electrical and/or control system design with capability to manage engineering activities.

    + This position requires minimal administrative direction from the division manager and is responsible for control system design of multiple complex projects.

    + Research applicable industry standards, prepare and critique engineering studies, analysis of systems, preliminary and detailed engineering designs.

    + Develop and review engineering specifications and project cost estimates.

    + Direct and review work of project design team, check progress of work and alert managers to change of scope and additional services.

    + Coordinate all aspects of project document completion.

    + Direct contributing engineers and CAD designers for the preparation of construction and control panel design drawings.

    + Possess ability to interpret applicable codes.

    + Independently work with code officials and other design professionals when an interpretation or exception to codes is required.

    + Coordinate project design with other engineering disciplines.

    You’ll be a perfect fit if you have:

    + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university within Electrical Engineering or other applicable field of study.

    + Master’s Degree is a plus.

    + Professional Engineer licensure is preferred.

    + Minimum of eight (8) years of electrical design experience, with a strong focus on power systems for industrial facilities.

    + Experience in specifying, designing systems for industrial, power, oil & gas, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, food & beverage facilities with significant expertise in at least one of the core industries served by TAI

    + Working knowledge of and ability to specify Electrical Component and Field Devices (combination starters, VFD’s, MCC’s, pushbuttons/selector switches, heat trace, etc.)

    + Experience designing, reviewing and approving Electrical Construction Drawing sets including but not limited to single lines, grounding plans, lighting plans, instrument and power location plans, conduit block and network architecture drawings

    + Working knowledge of and ability to specify power systems for use in hazardous area locations as identified by NFPA 70

    + Experience with generator sizing software.

    + Experience performing grounding, arch flash, short circuit, coordination, power factor, and/or harmonic analysis.

    + Ability to professionally interact with customers to gather critical information.

    + Manage design of all levels of complexity including other electrical resources.

    + Manage existing customer relationships.

    + Working Knowledge of NEC (NFPA 70).

    _Candidates must have experience with the following software:_

    + SKM, Easypower, or ETAP

    + Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project

    + AutoCAD (ability to open drawings, navigate, edit text, and print)

    + Masterspec

    Compensation and Benefits:

    + Pay: 22-32/hour (based upon experience)

    + Annual Profit Sharing Bonus (variable)
