Overview
**Summary:** The Samsung Austin Semiconductor Bulk Chemical Lead is responsible for managing a team of Bulk Chemical Technicians in performance of their duties. Reports directly to the Operations Manager.
**Shift:** C Shift (Thur, Fri, Sat, every other Wed) (5:45am-6:00pm)

Responsibilities Include:
+ Supervise, provide guidance for, and instruction to Bulk Chemical Technicians in the performance of their daily tasks. Assign duties and track progress.
+ Backfill absent technicians as needed; assist technicians where needed.
+ Manage and run twice-daily pass-down.
+ Identify, communicate, and escalate any safety or quality issues to ABM and GCS management per escalation guidelines.
+ Monitor and manage materials’ levels of supply. Analyze data and determine priorities of work for the team to ensure a constant stream of supply to the facility.
+ Determine where, when, and how tank containers are received, staged, offloaded, disconnected, and sent off-site.
+ Ensure standard operating procedures are being followed and adhered to.
+ Receive and act upon notifications from ABM management, GCS, and chemical technicians. Respond per timelines and implement change point management as needed.
+ Train and certify all personnel on team in performance of duties as well as safety and environment regulations on site.
+ Approve/disapprove time off requests and organize backfill as needed.
+ Provide customer service for Samsung Gas and Chemical Systems department, executing special request operations and providing updates and alerts as needed on chemical supply and quality statuses.
+ Supervise all bulk chemical offloads to ensure compliance with safety, SAS procedures, and quality control specifications.
+ Document all tank containers received and manage document and record retentions.
+ Supervise and/or perform periodic preventive maintenance on chemical distribution systems and units.
+ Perform daily inspections on chemical distribution systems and units.
+ Monitor and respond to alarms through bulk chemical monitoring systems. Update systems and trackers as needed.
+ Monitor and escalate any abnormal conditions, including leaks, alarms, damage.
+ Maintain bulk chemical offices, areas of operations, and equipment in compliance with SAS requirements.
+ Monitor for, escalate, and stop work as needed for safety issues, quality issues, and/or events where a standard procedure is unknown or cannot be followed.
+ Operate golf carts, forklifts, pallet jacks, transport truck, and other powered industrial truck (PIT) equipment as needed.
+ Comply with all site, Department of Transportation, and International Maritime Dangerous Goods requirements for shipment of hazardous materials.
+ Wear personal protective equipment, including class B chemical resistant suit and any other PPE assigned per SOP. Maintain and keep in good working order all assigned PPE.
+ Use and wear breathing- and supplied-air apparatus as required.
+ Perform duties in all weather conditions, both inside and outside.
+ Professional development of the Bulk Chemical Technicians.
+ Works with the shift technicians to develop personal and professional goals and work towards accomplishing them.
+ Oversight of chemical technician team’s human resources, including escalating payroll issues, managing time off requests, managing backfill, and other duties.
+ All other tasks and duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and others as needed)
Proficiency and accuracy in communications, scanning, and attention to detail.
