Pay : $15 per hour

Schedule :

+ Saturday–Sunday: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (2300–0700)

+ Monday–Tuesday: Off

+ Wednesday–Friday: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (2300–0700)

This is a consistent overnight/graveyard shift schedule with built-in mid-week days off.

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and observant Overnight Security Officer to join our team at a premier outdoor shopping and dining destination in northwest Houston. In this role, you will provide a visible security presence to help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for visitors, tenants, and staff during overnight hours. The position is primarily outdoors, involving foot patrols and golf cart patrols throughout the shopping center property.

Key Responsibilities

+ Conduct regular foot and golf cart patrols of the property to observe and report any suspicious activities, potential thefts, disturbances, or unauthorized persons.

+ Monitor for and promptly report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or property damage (e.g., burned-out lights, leaks, broken fixtures, or other concerns).

+ Provide a professional, courteous security presence while interacting with the public when needed.

+ Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in detailed reports.

+ Respond appropriately to alarms, emergencies, or requests for assistance in coordination with local authorities or management.

+ Enforce property rules and guidelines to help prevent loss or damage.

+ Other duties as assigned to support site security operations.

Requirements

+ Must possess a valid Texas Non-Commissioned Security Officer license (Level II certification and active registration with Texas DPS/Private Security Bureau), or be able to obtain one upon hire.

+ Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required to safely operate a golf cart on property).

+ Comfortable working overnight shifts and being outdoors for the majority of the shift, exposed to all weather conditions (heat, rain, cold, etc.).

+ Strong vigilance, attention to detail, and situational awareness.

+ Team player with good communication skills and flexibility to adapt to varying situations.

+ Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

+ Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and operate a golf cart safely.

+ High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

+ Must pass a background check.
