Responsibilities:
Oversees the coordination of incoming and outgoing movement and storage of raw materials, finished products and parts to ensure material availability and delivery when needed to meet production schedules. Runs and analyzes budgetary reports. Creates, modifies, and drives implementation of materials processes within assigned areas. Compiles data on order volume, production schedules and forecasts and applies statistical methods and acts as a consultant for departmental leadership to estimate future materials requirements. Coordinates and may lead pieces, or entirety, of projects, acting as liaison with cross-functional internal departments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
+ Oversees the restructuring of the assigned supply rooms, purchases and stocks special order supplies for assigned areas using direct access to create purchase orders without going through the normal requisitions process. Collaborates with central supply to ensure accurate stock, rotation, and optimum periodic automatic replacement (PAR) inventory levels. Authorizes capital purchases for equipment, supplies, and construction/renovation of assigned area(s). Runs required budgetary reports, analyzes report data, and advises the department leadership on costs and purchase feasibility.
+ Coordinates and schedules work to be done on department with other internal departments and external vendors. Creates, modifies, and drives implementation of materials processes within assigned areas. Creates and distributes educational materials for clinical supplies, equipment, and work processes. Serves on various committees to ensure The Joint Commission and Dept. of Health compliance.
+ Repairs simple medical and/or office equipment, coordinates with external departments for additional or more complex repairs. Utilizes inventory software to create and maintain asset tracking for technology used by the department.
+ Contributes to large-scale, long-term, interdisciplinary projects. Leads or co-lead smaller, unit-based projects as needed.
+ Participates in departmental workshops, interdisciplinary rounding, safety concern investigations.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
+ Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Care or related and 2 years experience in a hospital setting required
+ Or equivalent combination of education and experience
+ Supervisory experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
+ Ability to work effectively with individuals across all job levels required
+ Ability to approach situations with flexibility required
+ Microsoft Outlook email skills required
+ Electronic filing skills required
+ Typing skills required
+ Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel required
