    What you'll do...

    Position Summary

The **Change Engineering organization** is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the processes and tools that ensure safe, reliable, and efficient technology changes across the enterprise. Our mission is to strike the right balance between **stability and agility** —enabling faster delivery of business value while protecting critical systems from disruption. We achieve this by leveraging automation, AI-driven risk analysis, and tight integration with DevOps, cloud, and observability platforms.

We are looking for a **Senior Software Engineer** to design, build, and scale intelligent systems and automations that power our enterprise change management platform. This is a hands-on, highly technical role requiring deep expertise in software engineering, distributed systems, and applied AI/ML, with a strong focus on building production-grade, scalable solutions.

The ideal candidate will operate at the intersection of AI/ML, platform engineering, and IT operations, developing intelligent workflows, decision-support systems, and automation that improve the safety, reliability, and efficiency of changes at scale. You will work on integrating data across systems, building robust services, and applying AI/ML techniques such as anomaly detection, classification, recommendation systems, and LLM-based reasoning to deliver actionable insights and automate decision-making.

You will also contribute to the end-to-end AI lifecycle, including data ingestion, feature engineering, model evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and iteration, ensuring solutions are reliable, explainable, and aligned with enterprise standards.

    What you’ll bring…

    Role & Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and scaling intelligent systems that power enterprise change management. You will work across platform engineering, automation, and applied AI/ML to improve change safety, reliability, and decision-making at scale.

    Implementation & Platform Engineering

+ Design, configure, and extend ServiceNow Change Management (or similar ITSM platforms) to meet complex business and operational requirements.

+ Build and optimize automated workflows for change request creation, risk evaluation, approval routing, and scheduling.

+ Drive continuous improvement of change success, failure, and health metrics through instrumentation and data-driven enhancements.

+ Apply sound software engineering practices to ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and resilient.

    Integration & Automation

+ Design and implement end-to-end integrations across ITSM platforms, DevOps pipelines, topology systems, and policy engines.

+ Build automation and services for pre-change validation, impact analysis, and post-change verification.

+ Ensure data consistency, integrity, and traceability across ServiceNow and cross-functional systems.

+ Enable automated ingestion and retrieval of topology, policy, configuration, and operational data to support risk assessment and decision support.

    AI & Intelligent Enablement

+ Integrate AI/ML and LLM-based solutions into the change engineering pipeline to provide change insights, risk scoring, and dependency analysis.

+ Apply techniques such as anomaly detection, classification, recommendation systems, and LLM-based reasoning to improve decision quality.

+ Leverage retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) or similar approaches to deliver explainable, context-aware AI insights.

+ Build feedback loops that validate model outputs (e.g., risk scores, recommendations) against real-world outcomes to continuously improve accuracy and trust.

+ Partner with stakeholders to evolve AI capabilities from experimentation to production-grade, enterprise-scale solutions.

    Required Skillset

    Core Engineering

+ Strong software engineering fundamentals with experience building production-grade systems.

+ Programming/Scripting: Python, JavaScript, PowerShell (or equivalent).

+ APIs & Integrations: REST APIs, webhooks, event-driven architectures, JSON.

+ Automation & DevOps: CI/CD pipelines, workflow automation, infrastructure-aware design.

    Platforms & Cloud

+ ITSM Platforms: Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Change Management or similar systems.

+ Cloud Platforms: Azure or GCP (architecture, services, and integrations).

+ Data & Storage: SQL/NoSQL fundamentals; strong focus on data quality and consistency.

    AI / ML

+ Experience integrating AI/ML models or LLM APIs into applications and workflows.

+ Familiarity with risk scoring models, anomaly detection, or decision-support systems.

+ Understanding of model evaluation, monitoring, and explainability in production environments.
