Geo-Technology Associates (GTA) is a growing, multi-state AEC firm looking for a seasoned payroll professional to own payroll end-to-end, serve as the primary point person for payroll systems, and help modernize how payroll and HR data flow through the organization.
This role is designed for an individual contributor who wants responsibility, influence and enjoys improving processes as much as running them.
What You'll Own
+ End-to-end payroll operations with full accountability for accuracy and timeliness
+ Payroll and HRIS system administration, reporting, and troubleshooting
+ Employees pay lifecycle: hires, changes, benefits, deductions, and terminations
+ Payroll reconciliations and coordination with Accounting and Finance
+ Multi-state compliance, audits, and payroll-related filings
+ Partnership with HR, Accounting, Finance, and IT to improve workflows
+ A hands-on role in selecting and implementing our next payroll/HRIS platform
How the Role Can Flex
Depending on your strengths and interests, this role can expand into:
+ HR operations and HRIS workflow support
+ Accounting support (accruals, reconciliations, close assistance)
+ Process automation and reporting improvements
What We're Looking For
+ 3+ years of payroll experience, a plus for those with multi-state exposure
+ Strong understanding of payroll compliance and controls
+ Experience working within payroll and HRIS systems; Paycom, Paycor, ADP, etc
+ Comfort with Excel, reconciliations, and payroll data
+ A mindset of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
+ Confidence partnering across teams
