We have an exciting opportunity for a Flammability Certification Engineer. This position is an individual contributor role that will report to the Senior Manager, Flammability Certification to ensure our products support our customer's needs. **What You Will Do** :

+ Performs collaborative engineering assignments usually representing a significant portion of a larger project.

+ Represents the Flammability Certification team in internal technical design reviews.

+ Compiles FAA certification documentation for submission to commercial aircraft OEM's and regulatory agencies.

+ Responsible for the review and approval of design changes from a certification perspective.

+ Performs new design analysis and material recommendations based on data.

+ Provides technical leadership to a small group of temporarily assigned engineers and technicians.

+ Ensures successful completion of the assigned project phase within the budgeted time and cost constraints.

+ Participates in defining of engineering approaches and in planning/scheduling work.

Qualifications You Must Have:

+ Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 3 years prior relevant experience **or** an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 1 years of experience **or** in absence of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Familiarity with standard aviation materials.

+ Prior working experience in the aerospace industry, specifically with aircraft interiors.

+ Prior experience reviewing and approving drawings.

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to prepare and give presentations.

+ Demonstrated ability to work effectively and productively with team members and cross functional teams.

+ Ability to work proficiently in Microsoft Office Suite applications and engineering related software programs.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
