The Raytheon Industry 4.0 Effectors Automation Systems Engineering team is seeking an Industry 4.0 Manufacturing Engineer This position will be responsible for supporting the critical planning and execution of existing and new/upcoming Factory Automation projects as a Project Engineer in a growing strategic organization in addition to supporting strategic business planning, and corporate initiatives. The candidate will work in a highly collaborative, geographically distributed team.
The individual will be located at Tucson, AZ. The candidate will be required to travel ~10% of the time in support the projects being managed.
What You Will Do
+ Planning, execution, and delivery of Industry 4.0 projects, on budget and schedule, ensuring they align with our strategic goals and deliver tangible business benefits.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business requirements and priorities.
+ Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and manage resources to ensure successful project execution within established constraints.
+ Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track and within budget and schedule.
+ Communicate project status, milestones, and key insights to senior management and stakeholders, providing regular updates and recommendations.
+ Proactively identify and manage changes in scope
+ Drive continuous improvement efforts to optimize processes, increase efficiency, and enhance the overall effectiveness of Industry 4.0 initiatives.
+ Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in Industry 4.0, and incorporate relevant insights into project planning and execution.
Qualifications You Must Have
+ Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
+ Demonstrated experience with project management ideally in an industrial or manufacturing environment,
+ The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
+ Lean manufacturing experience
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present ideas to senior level stakeholders
+ Strong understanding of Industry 4.0 technologies and concepts, including IoT, AI, machine learning, robotics, and data analytics.
+ Familiarity with Industry 4.0 and Smart Factory principles, technologies and/or techniques
+ Experience with planning and execution of capital investment plans and appropriations requests (ARs)

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
